Who am I?

My name is Will Poskett; I am a multi-award-winning strategist who has been growing businesses for nearly 20 years.

I led strategy at some of the world’s most respected brand-building agencies, including Droga5, W+K, and Saatchi & Saatchi. During this time, I advised some of the world’s most valuable brands, including Nike, Coca-Cola, and Meta. I now run my own strategy-led creative agency, Defiant. We help businesses, investors, and brands navigate the complex challenges of the modern world and unlock exponential value.

Where am I?

We have a studio in central London, but we work with brands around the world. Our clients include Heineken, Senheisser, Deliciously Ella, Bella Italia and many more.

What do I write about?

Fame is proven to be the biggest driver of brand growth—yet it’s never been harder to find. Today, breaking the rules isn’t enough. Brands need to play by completely different ones. Quite simply they need to be Defiant.

This newsletter explores that challenge. It dives into the bleeding edge of culture, the new rules brands may need to follow to earn attention, build fame, and ultimately win.

I don’t claim to have all the answers-so think of this as an exploration. A digital notebook, if you will. My goal is to help both you and me think more deeply about how Defiant brands can grow in a modern world.
